"Bee Inspired"

A wonderful new Sewing Studio is Opening in Louth. Wendy Honey has been working so hard getting her lovely Creative Studio ready to host a range of Classes that will start in the coming months.

"Bee Inspired" will be holding Patchwork & Quilting, Dressmaking & other Crafting Classes at her Studio. How lovely it'll be to Sew in such a lovely environment, this will surely inspire you to make & create.

As you know I hold Hand Sewing Sessions at my Shop and these Classes are perfect for anyone who wants to progress to machine sewing.

Wendy's Opening Day is on Thursday 25th September 1pm - 6pm. It's a great opportunity to see what Classes are available & Coffee & Cake too. Unit 21 Nottingham Court Fairfield Est. Louth LN11 0WP

After having a wonderful week off with my husband I was so happy to step foot into my little shop again. Autumn is a great time of year to start sewing, especially with Christmas on it's way. These Classes are a great opportunity to start. When I wanted to start sewing it took me so long to find a class, it's great that Louth now has a dedicated Creative Studio on it's Doorstep. I will be providing Kits & Fabrics for the courses as well as 100% Cotton Wadding. I'll definitely be attending on Thursday.

Hope to see you there - Helen -

20 Years

My lovely Sister-in-law Mandy will be covering for me next week.

I'm going away for a week to celebrate my 20th Wedding Anniversary. Where does that time go. When I look at this picture I see a young girl but at the time I was a grown up & knew exactly what I wanted. When you start getting older you can see chapters in your life that tell your story. If anyone had told me what my future would be now I wouldn't have believed them, I couldn't even Sew!

Me & my beautiful daughter - Lauren - on my Wedding Day

Whilst I'm away the Shop will be Open 10am - 2pm on Wed 17th, Fri 19th & Sat 20th Sept. I'll be Closed Tues 16th & Thurs 18th. Normal hours resume wk commencing 23rd Sept.

See you when I get back  - Helen -

New Friendships

Whilst building my Business I've made many friends along the way. Some fellow Crafters & others just starting their Creative journey. I met Kathy over the Summer. Kathy's father had sadly passed away & had travelled from Sydney,  Australia to be with her extended family. New to Sewing Kathy visited my Shop and bought some Fabrics to make Napkins. I had a lovely Singer Sewing Machine on loan in my window which prompted her to find out if her mother's machine was repairable, unfortunately it wasn't. I was overjoyed when she asked if I'd like to use it for my window display. I managed to display her treasured mother's sewing machine in my window.

Kathy also wanted to make her Napkins before heading back to Oz so Kathy asked if she could have a one to one Sewing Session at the Shop. We had a great time, sharing life experiences whilst making her beautiful Napkins.

Kathy is now back home is Oz were it's now Spring. She has already proudly used her mitred cornered Napkins. I love knowing that a piece of Fabric you buy inspires you to make something and then has a story to tell. How wonderful that Kathy's Napkins will transport her back to her past in Louth, with fond memories both Old & New.
